Bus tickets must be signed by the parent/guardian and the yellow copy must be returned to the driver before the child can ride any bus. Signing the bus ticket indicates the parent saw the ticket and not that he/she necessarily agrees with it.
Suspension from the bus only counts when the student is in attendance at school. The student will NOT be allowed to ride any Shelby Public school bus during the bus suspension.
Any vandalism or damage to a school bus may result in suspension from riding all buses to and from school for the remainder of the school year and the student will be charged for the cost of repairs.
Serious infractions can result in immediate suspension from riding all buses for up to the remainder of the school year, based on the decision of the transportation director and building principal.
